Vínculos del CNG
The New Granada Home Foundation (FHNG) successfully kicked off the new school year on January 23rd, and we couldn’t be more excited! Our 378 students are enthusiastic about their education and eager to learn and grow, and this achievement is a testament to the unwavering support and dedication of the CNG community. Before classes began, CNG staff members provided a comprehensive professional development program for the FHNG faculty and staff focused on key areas to enhance their performance and deliver effective education to our students. We would like to thank the following CNG staff members, who facilitated these sessions, for their TIME and TALENT!
- Child Protection, Astrid Amador
- GANAG Lesson Planning, Liliana Borrero
- Introduction to Workshop Model, Vanessa Gilchrist, Maria Patricia Mesa
- Classroom Interventions, Renee Elmore
- Google Workspace for Education, Jhonatan
- Conscious Discipline, Andrea Bustamante
Furthermore, FHNG receives additional in-kind support from CNG throughout the school year, which includes:
- Human Resources: assistance in recruitment and selection to hire and retain high-caliber staff.
- Finance and Accounting: financial management expertise to ensure sustainability.
- Publications: marketing assistance to clearly communicate our message.
- Technology: technological support and internet service to deliver programming more effectively.
- General Services: collaboration and expertise to better serve our students.
- Food and Beverages: food service consultation to enhance our food management and menu options.
- Transportation: access to drivers and vehicles for students to attend events and excursions that expand their knowledge and skills.
- Safety: guidance to maintain a safe environment for our community.
- Educational Supplies: donations of academic materials, technological devices (laptops, iPads), and books in both English and Spanish.
- Student Integration: meaningful opportunities for FHNG and CNG students to participate and collaborate (e.g., soccer games, window painting, and other activities) and planned service-learning projects in collaboration with teachers from both schools.
We wouldn’t be where we are today without CNG’s TIME and TALENT. However, it’s also necessary to sustain our future. Currently, just under 30% of CNG families support FHNG through our Godparent Scholarship Program, and we need your help to reach our 50% goal. By partnering with us today, you can be a part of this important journey, support students and families in need, and help strengthen our community by reducing educational inequalities.

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND DEDICATION!
“All great acts of service to others begin with a compelling vision: a vision to create a future that others may not have imagined; a vision to impact people in ways they possibly hadn’t conceived; and a vision to transform lives and communities through the profound and lasting effect of education. Few – if any – projects fulfill these three characteristics in the course of a lifetime; and the New Granada Home Foundation is one of them.”
